Dr. Craig WrightPsychologist B Psych (Hons) PhD

Craig obtained his PhD in 2004. He is nationally and internationally recognised as a leading clinician in the developmental/learning disorders field (dyslexia, dysgraphia, language impairment, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, dyscalculia). He is also known for his work on challenging behaviour and anxiety. He has a personal interest in men's mental health and mental health management in parents. His external appointments include being an Adjunct Research Fellow at Griffith University, a member of the Advisory Board for the Macquarie University Reading Clinic and Editorial Board member for the Australian Journal of Learning Difficulties. He has served tenure as President of Learning Difficulties Australia. His research has appeared most recently in the prestigious journals Neuropsychologia, Developmental Neuropsychology and Brain & Cognition.

Dr. Tracey HunterClinical Psychologist B Psych (Hons) PhD (Clin) MAPS MCCP

Tracey runs an adult clinic at Understanding Minds, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to treat common psychological problems including depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment issues and work-related stress. Tracey also provides clinical supervision to psychologists, having been a member of the APS Clinical College since 2006.
Tracey completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2005 at Griffith University. She has worked as a consultant psychologist in the private sector with a range of adult clients over the past 5 years, including those with chronic and complex psychological problems, as well as clients with situational issues.

Lyn WrightPrincipal, Understanding Minds Virtual School

Lyn has 30 years of experience as an educator. She served as Principal at Woronora River Public and Muswellbrook SouthPublic Schools and was teaching principal at Duri Public School. She is currently the Principal of the Understanding Minds Virtual School and online Speech Therapy clinic. She is committed to providing equitable educational opportunities for students who have learning difficulties.

Kristy CooneySpeech-Language Pathologist B Sp Path MSPA CPSP

Kristy is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years experience. Kristy also trained as a teacher. In addition to paediatric speech therapy, her expertise lies in assisting adolescents with language and learning difficulties access the curriculum. Kristy also has a special interest in children's literacy.

Kristy currently works part-time at Understanding Minds in addition to her work for Education Queensland. She previously held a position with the Mental Health Service in Ireland.

Belinda is a learning and behaviour specialist. She is an Education PhD specialising in behaviour change and a Masters specialising in the autism spectrum and intellectual disability. Belinda develops Positive Behaviour Support plans for NDIS clients and conducts behaviour therapy for all types of clients. She works with students who have a wide range of learning and functional challenges. She loves the nature versus nurture debate and believes passionately that all behaviour is learned through teaching and reinforcement. However, her nutty labradoodle reminds her that nature is also important..
